RES 1965-36 - 00011309Z RESOLUTION NO. 36 -1965 A RESOLUTION IMPOSING LOAD LIMITS ON PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That pursuant to Chapter 72, City Code of Fridley, Minnesota, 1963 that commencing on the 15th day of March, 1965, and continuing until the 15th day of May, 1965, unless sooner terminated or thereafter continued, no vehicle shall be driven or operated upon any street or public highway in the City under jurisdiction of the City where the weight of such vehicle exceeds: 4 Ton Per Axle 2. The above restriction shall not apply with respect to the following named streets or public highways, to -wit: a. Beginning at T.H. #100 and Horizon Drive, thence West on Service Road to Main Street b. West Moore Lake Drive from 59th Avenue to Carol Drive C. 61st Avenue N.E. from 7th Street to West Moore Lake Drive d. 7th Street N.E. from 53rd Avenue to Mississippi Street e. 57th Avenue from Hwy. #47 to 7th Street and the weight limit with respect to such streets and highway is: 9 Ton Per Axle g. Hathaway Lane beginning at Central Avenue, thence East on Hathaway Lane to Regis Drive. and the weight limit with respect to such street is: 1.5 Ton Per Axle 3. Notice of these restrictions shall be published and posted with respect to each of such streets and highways and when so published and posted, the restrictions shall be in full force and effect; all as provided in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Sec. 169.87 and the provisions thereof, under Chapter 72, City Code of Fridley, Minnesota 1963, 4. A vehicle in excess of such limits may be operated or driven upon a street or public highway in the City without violation of law when the same is done under Special Permit thereof issued in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Sec. 169.86 which are adopted and made a part hereof by reference the same as if fully incorporated herein. 5. That school bus operators are given special permit to proceed with normal operation on their regularly established routes and at regularly established hours, said permit's to be issued by the City Manager.
