RESOLUTION NO. 70 -1965
RENAMING A PORTION OF STARLITE BOULEVARD AND A PORTION OF MERCURY
DRIVE TO SATELITE LANE BEING THAT STREIST BETWEEN STARLITE BOULEVARD
AND THE WEST SERVICE DRIVE OF T.H. x147
WHEREAS, the east -west portion of the street known as Starlite
Boulevard occupies only the easement over seven lots along a street
also named satellite lane, and
WHEREAS, the street known as Mercury Drive occupies one -half
block of a street also named Satellite Lane, and
WHEREAS, these streets are shown on Sylvan Hills plats 3 and 4
South of Section 14, Township 30, Range 24 of the City of Fridley and
on the South of Section 15, Township 30, Range 24, of the City of
Fridley, and
WHEREAS, a request has been received to change the names of these
portions of Starlite Boulevard and Mercury Drive to Satellite Lane.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of
Fridley as follows:
1. The east -west portion of Starlite Boulevard in the South �i of
Section 15, Township 30, Range 24 of the City of Fridley will
hereafter be named and known as Satellite Lane.
2. That the street, part of which is now known as Satellite Lane
located in tha South g of Section 14, Township 30, Range 24 of
the City of Fridley extending from the portion of Starlite Boulevard
running north and south to the west service drive of T.H. 1147
will hereafter be named and known as Satellite Lane.
3. That the portion of Mercury Drive in tha South I of Section 14,
Township 30, Range 24 of the City of Fridley extending over the por-
tion of that street running east and west between the north -south
portion of Starlite Boulevard and the wrest service drive of T.H.
1147 will hereafter be named and known as Satellite Lane.
4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to register said changes of
street names with the proper authorities for Anoka County, and
notify the United States Postmaster of such changes.
