RESOLUTION NO. 11 -1966
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING A HEARING ON
IMPROVEMENT - PROJECT ST. 1966 -3 IMPROVEMENT OF MISSISSIPPI STREET FROM
TRUNK HIGHWAY Yr47 TO TRUNK HIGHWAY #65.
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve Mississippi Street between Trunk
Highway No. 47 and Trunk Highway No. 65, by the construction of a 50 foot
wide driving surface and the construction of cement curbs and the installation
of sidewalks, and to assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the
cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.011 to
429.111, and
WHEREAS, under date of December 29, 1965, the City Engineer by
Memo No. 65 -88 has submitted a feasibility report as to the estimated cost
of construction of the concrete curb and gutter and of the sidewalks
along said street, and
WHEREAS, at the meeting of January 4, 1966, it was apparent to members
of the Council that the Council should consider the improvement of such
street in accordance with the report and the assessment of the abutting
property for all or a portion of the costs of the improvement pursuant
to the Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.011 to 429.111, at an estimated total
cost of the improvement of 39,405.00 dollars.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing shall be held on
such proposed improvement on the 14th day of March, 1966, in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall at 6431 University Avenue Northeast, Fridley,
Minnesota 55421, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
