RES 1966-135 - 00011166RESOLUTION NO. 135 - 1966 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A BALLOT ON THE LOCATION OF THE PROPOSED NE147 CITY HALL BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, As follows: WHEREAS, the citizens of Fridley have approved a bond issue for the construction of a new City Hall; and WHEREAS, the City Council is considering two possible locations for said City Hall; and WHEREAS, a number of resident taxpayers of the City of Fridley have expressed a desire to state their opinions relative to the location of the new City Hall; and WHEREAS, the Fridley City Council wishes to determine that opinion of the residents regarding the location of said City Hall; 'NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Fridley City Council authorize the administration to prepare a ballot to be used at the Primary Election on September 13, 1966. Said ballot to read as follows: VOTE ON ONE Put an (%) opposite the proposal you favor CITY HALL LOCATION Shall the proposed Fridley City Hall be located at the intersection of University Avenue and 64th Avenue Northeast, its present location, or Shall the proposed Fridley City Hall be located at the intersection of University Avenue and 69th Avenue Northeast, at the west entrance to Locke Park, No preference for either site.
