SEPTEMBER 6, 1966, AND AUGUST 22, 1966, AT 7:00 O'CLOCK P.M. AT THE
CITY HALL, CITY OF FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the
City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, was duly held at the
City Hall in said City on Monday, the 22nd day of August, 1966, and
the 6th day of September, 1966, at 7:00 & 8:00 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Harris, Sheridan and Samuelson.
and the following were absent: Kirkham and Wright.
The Clerk announced that the proposed assessment for
WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. W -34-0 (W -74)
had been filed in his office on the lst day of August, 1966, and that.
notice of a hearing on said assessment to be held at the special meeting
of the Council on the 22nd day of August, 1966, had been given in the
form and manner as provided by law. The Clerk presented an affidavit
showing publication of such notice in the official newspaper, which
affidavit was examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file.
The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for consideration -of
objections to the assessment heretofore filed with the City Clerk for
WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. W -34-0 (W -74)
The Clerk reported that written objection had been filed by the
following persons affecting the following described lots, pieces or
parcels of land, to -wit: NONE

After due consideration of all said objections, Councilman
Sheridan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions`
RESOLUTION NO. 137 - 1966
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. W -34-0 (W -74)
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota,
as follows:
11 The City Clerk has with the assistance of the engineers heretofore
selected by this Council for such purpose, calculated the proper
amounts to be specially assessed for the
WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. W -3a -0 (W -74)

in said City against every assessible lot, piece, or parcel of land in
accordance with the Provisions of law, and has prepared and filed with
the City Clerk tabulated statements in duplicate showine the proper
description of each and every lot, piece or parcel of land to be
specially assessed and the amount calculated against the same.
2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that this Council
would meet in regular session at this time and place to pass on the
proposed assessment. =
3. Said Proposed assessment has at all times since its filing been open
to inspection and copying by all persons interested, and an opportunity
has been given to all interested persons to present their objections,
if any, to such proposed assessment, or to any item thereof, and no
objections have been filed; except NONE
4. The amounts specified in the proposed assessment are changed and altered
as follows: -NONE
5. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces, or parcels of land
ennumerated in said proposed assessment as altered and modified was and
is specially benefited by the
WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. W -34-0 (W -711)
in the amount in said proposed assessment as altered and modified by the
corrective roll in the amount set opposite the description of each such
lot, piece, or parcel of land, and that said amount so set out is hereby
levied against each of the respective lots, pieces or parcels of land
therein described.
6. Such proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected is affirmed,
adopted and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named in said proposed
assessment is altered, modified and corrected, with the changes and
alterations herein above made, are affirmed, adopted and confirmed as
the groper special. assessment for each of said lots, pieces or parcels
of land respectively.
7. Said assessment so affirmed, adopted and confirmed shall be certified
to by the City Clerk and filed in his office and shall thereupon be
and ccnstitute the special assessment for
WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. W -34-0 (W -711)
8. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of land shall
bear interest from the date hereof until the same have been n_aid at
the rate of six per cent (6 %) per annum.
9. Such assessment shall be payable in one or twenty annual installments
payable on the 1st day of January in each ,year, beginning, in the year
1967, and continuing until all of said installments shall have been paid,
each installment to be collected with taxes collectible during said year
by the County Auditor.
10, The City Clerk is hereby directed to make up and file in the office of
the County Auditor of Anoka County a certified statement of the amount
of all such unpaid assessments and the amount which will be due thereon
on the 1st day of January in each year.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Harris, and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Kirkham, Sheridan, Harris, Wri7ht - -
Samuelson, Absent.
and the following voted against the same: NONE
