RESOLUTION' NO. 159 - 1966
A RESOLUTION LIMITING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CITY HALL.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
WHEREAS, the Fridley City council has entered into contracts
for the construction of a new city hall in the amount of $450,968.00;
and
WHEREAS, in addition to the above contracted expenses there
remains certain site work, architect fees and other incidental
expenses; and
WHEREAS, the Fridley City Council has available from the
proceeds of bonds authorized for the construction of the city hall
and from other sources approximately $1709000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the intention of
the Citv Council to limit expenditures for the construction of
said City Hall to $470,000.00 so as not to require the issuance
of any additional bonds or to require the levying of general property
taxes in order to finance the construction of the new city hall.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 31ST DAY
OF OCTOBER, 1966.
