RES 1966-185 - 00011243258 RESOLUTION NO. 185 - 1966 RESOLUTION FURTHER DEFINING CITY POLICY WITH RESPECT TO SALARY CEII,TNGS FOR SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE EMPLOYEES. 1,MERNAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley has set by resolution a ceiling salary level for certain senior administrative positions in the City, and WHEREAS, the intent of the City Council in regard to these matters ' may need further explication and clarification, NW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED, 1. That it is the policy of the City Council that the ceilings placed on base salaries for department heads and other employees are neither automatic nor absolute, but rather are intended to serve as a basis from which subsequent longevity increases are calculated. 2. It is further the policy of the,Council that such ceiling salaries shall be re- evaluated periodically in relation to comparable salaries in the adjoining metropolitan area, and in the light of general trends in the regional economy, in order to keep said ceilings current and aprropriate for each position, regardless of whether the incumbent in any position shall have reached the ceiling level or not.
