A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND
CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: (STORM
SEWER - PROJECT NO. 5C - NORTH OF HIGHWAY NO. 100
AND WEST OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE).
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be
in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis, Inc.,
Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 11th day of April, 1966 at
9:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for
the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement
noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by
reference, Exhibit "A ".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and
each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas
as noted in said notice; all of the same to be assessed propor-
tionately according to the benefits received.
k. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice
of such Public Hearings by publishing a notice thereof in the
official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such
notice to be substantially in the form and substance of the
notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FIRDLEY THIS 7TH DAY OF MARCH, 1966.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT N0. 5C
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota,
has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements hereinafter
described be made.
NOW THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 11th day of April, 1966,
at 9:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said
City, and will at said time, and place, hear all parties interested in said
improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands
and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM:
A. Storm Sewer and appurtenances located in all of the streets and serving
all of the area described As follows:

Commencing at the intersection at the westerly right -of -gray of the
Ng thorn Pacific Railway and the Great Northern Railway and the
northerly right -of -way of trunk highway #694 (formerly highway #100);
thence east along the northerly right- of-way of trunk highway #694
to its intersection with the westerly right -of -way of state trunk
highway #117, thence northerly along the westerly right-of-way of
trunk highway #117 to its intersection with the southerly right- of-way
of Mississippi Street thence westerly along said southerly right-
of-way of Mississippi Street to its intersection with the westerly
right -of -way of the Northern Pacific Railway and the Great Northern
Railway, thence southerly along said westerly right -of -way of said
railways to the point of beginning.
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 80,000.00
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS:
For Construction Item A, above - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ---
A11 of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands
adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements
as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by
the Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota
Statutes 1961, Chapter 1129 and laws amendatory thereof, and in
conformity with the City Charter.
