RES 1966-64 - 00011018w RESOLUTION NO. 64 - 1966 A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts for the following items or materials: "ONE NEW 27,500 POUND G.V.W. DUMP TRUCK" and "ONE NEW STANDARD SEDAN CAR" 2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adonted P. the plans and specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of Fridley on the 16th day of May, 1966. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said notice shall be pub - lished at least 'twice 'in the 'official newspaper of the City of Fridley. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 2ND DAY OF MAY, 1966. DUMP TRUCK and _ SEDAN CAR The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota will accept sealed bids on One (1) New 27,500 Pound G.V.W. Dump Truck and One (1) New Sedan Car on the 16th day of May, 1966, until 12:00 o'clock Noon on said date at the Fridley Cifiy Hall,_6431 University Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota 55421 (Tel. 560 - 3450). All bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can result in disquali- fication of the bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Cash or Bid Bond and made payable without conditions to the City of Fridley, Minnesota in an amount of not less than five percent (5 %) of the bid' which check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses to enter into Contract, after his bid has been accented. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid re- ceived without explanation. The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as time of delivery or performance, experience, responsibility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of items or materials, availability of products and other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best interest ' of the city. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the office of the City Engineer- Director of Public Works, or copies may be ob- tained from his office.
