RESOLUTION NO. 91 - 1966 -
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
ADVERTISING FOR BIDS: STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1966 -10
(SEAL COATING)
WHEREAS, at the regular Council meeting of the 14th day of April,
1966, the City Council authorized to advertise for bids for seal coating
and the cost of the seal coating to be paid out of State Aid Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the streets marked black on the zattached map be seal
coated, and the work involved in said Improvement shall here-
after be designated as:
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1966 -10
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer for
such improvement and each of them, pursuant to the Council
action heretofore, a copy of which plans and specifications
are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved
and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
3. The Work to be performed under STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
ST. 1966 -10 shall be performed under one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertise-
ment shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 1C days), and s all
specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and con-
sidered at 12:00 o'clock (noon), on the 5th day of July, 1966 in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash
deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per cent
(5%) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1966 -10 shall be substantially in form as that
noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager, 6431 University
Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota 55421 (Tel. 560- 3450), on the 5th day
of July, 1966, at 12:00 Moon, and will be considered by the City Council of
the City of Fridley, at a regular Council Meeting, at 8:00 P.M. on the 5th
day of July, 1966 for the furnishing of work and materials for Street
Improvement Project ST. 1966 -10 (Seal Coating).

EXHIBIT "B"
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Seal coating project consists of seal coating about seven (7) miles of
streets in different parts of the City and consists of the following
principal items of work and approximate quantities.
24,200 Gallons - Cationic Asphalt Emulsion RS -3%
1,200 Tons - FA -2 or FA -3 Modified Aggregate
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Nasim Qureshi,
P.E., City Engineer, Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue Northeast,
Fridley, Minnesota 55421. Telephone: 560 -3450.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the Office of the City Manager,
and copies may be obtained free of charge for the Contractor's individual
use by applying to the City Engineer.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accompanied
by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of
Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition to the
City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 5% of the total
amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any informalitits in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
