RES 1967-137 - 00010804184 RESOLUTION NO. 137 -1967 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING ANOKA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DESIGNATE 73RD AVENUE AS A COUNTY ROAD AND IMPROVE IT. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley by Resolution 937 -1966, dated March 21, 1966, requested the Anoka County Commissioner to take over 73rd Avenue from East River Road to Old Central as a county road; and WHEREAS, the City has had no official response from the County on this request to date, WHEREAS, Onan Properties are building over a $13,000,000 industrial complex at 73rd and Central Avenue with approximately 1,600 employees, and they will be using 73rd Avenue as the main access to their complex, WHEREAS, all this new construction is going to create a considerable amount of additional traffic volume, WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the improvement and installation of Storm Sewer on 73rd Avenue on July 10, 1967 and the City is in the process of negotiating cost of participation with the County for their share, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesotaā€˛ as follows: THAT Anoka County is requested to designate immediately, at least the section of 73rd Avenue from Trunk Highway #65 to Old Central as a county road, AND also improve and complete the construction of 73rd Avenue from Trunk Highway #65 to Stinson Boulevard by the end of next summer.
