A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A
METROPOLITAN SEWER DISTRICT. '
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley is a umber of the North Suburban
Sanitary Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, the North Suburban Sanitary Sewer District has
expended substantial funds for administrative expense, court litigation,
planning, and construction of an interceptor Bawer system; and
WHEREAS, the general obligations of the City of Fridley are
pledged to support this indebtedness; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature is considering various
proposals to establish a Metropolitan Sanitary Sewer District.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the Fridley City Council
request the Minnesota Legislature to omit the North Suburban Sanitary
Sewer District from any Metropolitan Sanitary Sewer District or in the
alternative, allow the governing body of the North Suburban Sanitary
Sewer District and the City of Fridley to exercise an option as to whether
or not said District or said City should join in and become a part of the
proposed Metropolitan Sanitary Sewer District. '
