RES 1967-26 - 0001064630 RESOLUTION NO. 26 - 1 %7 'RESOLUTION SETTING PENALTIES FOR NON- ATTENDANCE AT COUNCIL MEETINGS. WHEREAS, for the last eleven regular Council meetings of 1966, a penalty of $25.00 per meeting was authorized to be assessed against any Councilman absent from more than three meetings, and WHEREAS, the Council also has considered a like penalty for being absent from the regularly designated Public Hearing meetings, and WHEREAS, there are twenty -four regularly scheduled meetings annually, and WHEREAS, there are, potentially, twelve regularly scheduled Public Hearing meetings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, 1. That a penalty of $25.00 be assessed against any Councilman for each regularly scheduled meeting, over four, from which he is absent. 2, That a penalty of $25.00 be assessed against any Councilman for each regularly scheduled Public Hearing, over three, from which he is absent. 3. The above penalties shall apply except when the absent member is representing the City at an official function or Public Hearing.
