RESOLUTION N0. 37 - 1967
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND
CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: STREET
PROJECT ST, 1967 -1.
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to
be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners
affected therebv.
follows:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley as
1. That the preliminary report submitted by the City
Engineer is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 20th day of
March, 1967 at 800 o'clock P,M. at the City
Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of
holding a Public Hearing on the improvement noted
in the Notice attached hereto and made a part
thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said
improvements and each of them as noted in said
notice are all the lands and areas as noted in
said notice; all of the.same to be assessed pro -
portionately according to the benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to
give notice of such Public Hearing by publishing a
notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City
of Fridley according to law, such notice to be sub-
stantially in the form and substance of the notice
attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1967 -1
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the
improvements hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 20th day
of March, 1967, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at
the City Hall in said City, and will at said time and place hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements in the construction
(in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements,
to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base,
hot -mix bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, water
and sanitary sewer services, storm sewer and appurtenances
and other facilities, located as follows:
Street
63rd Avenue: University Service Road to 4th Street Extended
63rd Avenue: 4th Street Extended to 5th Street
Rainbow Drive: 61st Avenue to Comet Lane
Arthur Street: Mississippi Street to North Property Line
of Rice Creek Elementary School
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ... . $43,724.80
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS:

All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all
lands within, adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
' That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said
improvements as separate improvements, except, as hereafter otherwise
provided by the Council, all under the following authority, to -wit:
Minnesota Statutes 1961, Chapter 429 and Laws amendatory thereof, and in
conformity with the City Charter.
