RES 1967-39 - 00010663RESOLUTION NO. 39 - 1967 A RE30LMON ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATES OF THE COSTS THEREOF: WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER PROJECT NO. 84 (ADDENDUM #1). WHEREAS, the City Engineer outlined by Memo (CM #67 -02) to the City Manager dated January 11, 1967 the need of repair and relaying a portion of sanitary sewer line in Cheri Lane. WHEREAS, this improvement will not be assessed because it is in the nature of sewer maintenance work and it will be paid by sewer utilities fund. ALSO, WHEREAS, the City has received Petition No. 3 -1967, to install sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer utilities in the property located in the Southwest Quadrant of Interstate No. 694 and T. H. No. 65. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows* 1. That it appears in the interest of the City and of the property owners affected that there be constructed certain improvements, to -wit: a) Relaying of sanitary sewer line between the manhole at the intersection of Madison Street and Cheri Lane and the manhole West of it. b) Water, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer and appurtenances ' in and serving the area bounded by Interstate #694 in the North, 53rd Avenue in the South, Highway #65 in the East and Monroe Street extended North on the West side. pursuant to M.S.A. Sections 429.011 to 429.111. 2. That Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers are hereby authorized and directed to draw preliminary plans and specifications and to tabulate the results of their estimates of the costs of said improvements, including every item of cost from inception to com- pletion and all fees and expenses incurred (or to be incurred) in connection therewith, or the financing thereof, and to make a preliminary report of their findings, stating therein whether said improvements are feasible and whether they can best be made as proposed, or in connection with some other improvements (and the estimated cost as recommended), including also a description of the lands or area as may receive benefits therefrom. 3, That the City Clerk shall act to ascertain the name and address of the owner of each parcel of land directly affected or within the area of lands as may be proposed to be assessed for said improve"nts (and each of them); and, upon receipt from said Engineer of the said preliminary report, calculate estimates of assessments as may be proposed relative thereto against each of said lands. 4. That said preliminary report of theEngineer and estimates of assessments of the Clerk, shall be furnished to the Council, 51 52 RESOLUTION NO. 39 -1967 (Continued) and made available for inspection to the owner of any parcel of land as may be affected thereby at any public hearing held ' relative thereto, as well as any prior time reasonable and convenient.
