RES 1967-50 - 00010676RESOLUTION NO. 50 -1967 A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ANOKA COUNTY COURT SYSTEM. BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: WHEREAS, Anoka County is the fastest growning county in Minnesota, and WHEREAS, the increased population produces an ever increasing amount of court litigation which may require a full time municipal court system in the future, and WHEREAS there is proposed legislation to add additional Judges to the District Court, and WHEREAS, the present proposal before the Anoka County Commissioners and the Fridley City Council was presented to the Council without sufficient time to review its many details, and WHEREAS, there is insufficient time to change from the present system by July 1, 1968. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Fridley City Council favors a study, including an accurate cost estimate, of an Anoka County Court System, to be made after the effects of additional District Court Judges can be evaluated. Such a study to be completed so that enactment of an Anoka County Court System could be proposed to the 1969 Legislative Session if the result of said study so indicated. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 13TH DAY OF MARCH, 1967. MAYOR - Jack 0. Kirkham ATTEST: CITY Marvin C. Brunsell MVA
