RESOLUTION NO.101 -1968
A RESOLUTION REQUES TING 'VACATION AND OFFER OF SALE
BY MINNESOTA HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT OF THAT PORTION OF
THE FROiiTAGE ROAD WEST OF T.H. 47 BETWEEN 57TH AVENUE
AND 57TH PLACE NORTHEAST UPON COMPLETION OF THE 3RD
STREET EXTENSION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley is making
provisions for the extension of 3rd Street between 57th Avenue North-
east and 57th Place Northeast and at present has easements for such
extension; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the extension of 3rd Street, the
necessity for the frontage road west of T.H. 47 (University Avenue)
between 57th Avenue Northeast and 57th Place Northeast will no longer
exist; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council that the frontage
road west of T.H. 47 between 57th Avenue Northeast and 57th Place North-
east be vacated and released for sale and released upon completion of
the 3rd Street extension.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Fridley that the Highway Department is hereby requested and
enjoined to vacate and offer for sale that portion of the frontage
road west of T.H. 47 between 57th Avenue Northeast and 57th Place and
release such property to purchaser upon completion of the extension of
3rd Street between 57th Place Northeast and 57th Avenue Northeast.
