RES 1968-116 - 00010468RESOLUTION NO. 116 -1968 A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid con- tracts for the following items or materials: 25,000 gallons (more or less) of Regular Gasoline 30,000 gallons (more or less) of Ethyl Gasoline 2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications and the method of acquisition and pay- ment to be required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of Fridley on the 11th day of Sept. 1968. The City Manager is directed and author- ized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as pro- vided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. (Tel: 560 - 3450) . All bids v-u-st meet the minimr3e�� requiremants of the specifications. Failure to cozply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Cash or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid, which check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if biddar neglects or refuses to enter into a contract, after his bid has been accepted. The City reserves the right_ to accept the bid which is deter:ined to be in the best interests of the City. Tae City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any inform lities or technicalities in any bid. The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as ' tima of delivery or perf.orasnce, experience, responsibility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of it--Ls or r�terials, availability of products and other siL,ilar fe.ctors that it may deter- mine to be in the best interest of the City. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be enamined in the office of the City Engineer - Director of Public works.
