RESOLUTION NO. 33 1968
A RESOLUTION UUERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND
ESTIMATES OF THE COSTS THEREOF: STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
ST. 1968 -3
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows: '
1. That it appears in the interest of the City and of the property owners
affected that there be constructed certain improvements, to -wit:
Street Improvements, including grading, stabilized base, hot -mix bituminous
mat, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, water and sanitary sewer services,
storm sewer and other facilities, located as follows:
73rd Avenue: Central Avenue to Stinson Boulevard
Mississippi Street: T.H. #65 to Central Avenue
Mississippi Street: 2nd Street to T.H. #47
T.H. #47 West Service Drive: Mercury Drive to 67th Avenue
2. That the City Engineer, Nasim Qureshi and Jake Lundheim, County Engineer,
are hereby authorized and directed to draw the preliminary plans and speci-
fications and to tabulate the results of their estimates of the costs of said
improvements, including every item of cost from inception to completion and
all fees and expenses incurred (or to be incurred) in connection therewith,
or the financing thereof, and to make a preliminary report of their findings,
stating therein whether said improvements are feasible and whether they can
best be made as proposed, or in connection with some other improvements (.
the estimated cost as recommended, including also a description of the lal
or area as may receive benefits therefrom and as may be proposed to be assessc
3. That the City Clerk shall act to ascertain the name and address of the owner
of each parcel of land directly affected or within the area of lands as may be
proposed to be assessed for said improvements (and each of them); and upon
receipt from said Engineers of the said preliminary report, calculate estimate
of assessments as may be proposed relative thereto against each of said lands.
4. That said preliminary report of the Engineers and estimates of assessments
of the Clerk, shall be furnished to the Council, and made available for inspec
ti.on to the owner of any parcel of land as may be affected thereby at any
public hearing held relative thereto, as well as at any prior time reasonable
and convenient.
