RESOLUTION NO. 46 -1968
A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE STUDY ON THE FEASIBILITY ,
OF RETURNING MUNICIPAL LIQUOR TO PRIVATE ENTERPRISE
AND THE MAYOR'S EVALUATION COMMITTEE HEREAFTER KNOWN
AS THE COMMITTEE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Fridley City Council as follows:
WHEREAS, Horwath and Horwath Accountants and Auditors were authorized
to make a study on July 24, 1967, and estimated the time for the study to
take six to eight weeks, making it available by October, 1967; and
WHEREAS, the study was not dated until January 2, 1968 and first in the
Council's hands sometime after January 23rd; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor appointed on February 8, 1968 a Committee to evaluate
said Horwath and Horwath study and submit their evaluation and conclusions
to the City Council by February 29, 1968, but then extended to March 15,
1968; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has not submitted their evaluation and conclu-
sions so that the Council can accept the study and make it of public record,
or reject the study and return same to its authors,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Fridley City Council direct
that a written statement from the Committee be prepared and delivered to the
Council by the 1st day of May, 1968, of their evaluation of the "Study"
and that the Committee thereafter be dissolved.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council, upon receiving said statement
from the Committee, take immediate action to accept the "Study" and make it
of public record or reject the "Study" and return same to its authors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 1st DAY
OF APRIL , 1968.
