RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 1968
`A- RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AUGUST 15, 1968 AS FRIDLEY NIGHT
AT THE BALL PARK
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley is a strong booster of the Minnesota
Twins Baseball Team, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley desires to display their support
of the Minnesota Twins publicly, and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has somehow arranged reser-
vations of a block of 600 seats in the Metropolitan Stadium, Home
of the Twins, and such tickets shall be on sale at the Chamber of
Commerce office and at the Information Desk at the Fridley Civic
Center until August 12, 1968, and
WHEREAS, the cost of the tickets is $3.50 and includes bus
transportation to and from the Ball Park, at time, and from departure
points in Fridley to be announced by the Chamber of Commerce, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council that
August 15, 1968 be designated "Fridley Night at the Ball Park ", and
residents of Fridley are enjoined to take advantage of this oppor-
tunity of displaying the spirit of Fridley and their solid support
of their team.
