RES 1969-09 - 00009961RESOLUTION NO. 9 - 1969 RESOLUTION TO ADVERTTSF FOR BIDS FOR THREE POLICE CARS BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows:- 1. That it is in the interest of the City to purchase the following items or materials: THREE POLICE PATROL CARS 2. A copy of the plans and specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. ;. The purchase of.said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened at 11:00 o'clock a.m. on the 20th day of January, 1969. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of b eference. Said notice shali be published at least 15 days or through two (2) publications in the official news- paper of the City of Fridley. KIRKHAM 15 16 CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE TO BID ' POLICE PATROL CARS The City Council of the City of Fridley will accept bids on three Police cars on the 20th day of January, 1969, until 11:00 o'clock a.m., on said date at the City Hall, 6431 University Avenue, North- east, Fridley, Minnesota 55421. Bid award will be made on January 20th, 1969, at the regular Council meeting. All bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid, which check or bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract or to furnish a 100°/ performance bond after his bid has been accepted. The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive all informalities or technicalities in any bid. I The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as the time of delivery or performance, experience and responsi- bility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of item or materials, availability of replacement parts, and other similar factors that it may determine in the best interest of the City. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the office of the City Manager or copies may be obtained from his office. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly marked on the,outside that the contents if a "BID ON POLICE CARS ". HOMER R.
