RESOLUTION NO. 110 -1969
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ADDING
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF STREETS ONTO THE EXISTING STREET IMPROVE-
MENT PROJECT ST. 1969 -1 & ST. 1969 -2 (CHANGE ORDER 412)
WHEREAS, Resolution #80 -1969, adopted the 19th day of May, 1969 by
the City Council, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements,
as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for re-
ference as Exhibit "A ", and
WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable to be
assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said Notice)
were given ten (10) days notice by mail and published notice of the Council
Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the reauired notice, and
the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing,
as noted in said notice.
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has an existing contract for Street
Improvement Project St. 1969 -1 & St. 1969 -2, with Arcon Construction
Company, Incorporated, which provides that the City can attach additional
work up to 25% of the original contract price,
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution
#80 -1969 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon
as reasonably possible, to -wit:
The improvements os noted under the Construction Item in the
Notice of Hearing (in Exhibit "A ") for the following Streets:
Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base, hot -
mix bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, water, and sanitary
sewer services, drainage and other facilities, located as follows:
Streets in Adams Street Addition:
Washington Street: 57th Avenue to 58th Avenue
Street on South side of plat: 7th Street to Washington Street
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer, Nasim
M. Qureshi and the City's Consulting Engineers for such improve-
ments and each of them, pursuant to the Council Resolution. #88 -1969,
heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are
hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and
shall be filed with the City Clerk.
3. That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall
be added on to contract of:
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1969 -1 & ST. 1969 -2 BY CHANGE
ORDER #2
4. The Change Order #2, Street Improvement Project St. 1969 -1 &
St. 1969 -2, as submitted by the City Engineer is hereby approved.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 7TH DAY OF JULY,
1969.
