RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ESTIMATES OF COSTS THEREOF: STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST 1969 -3 ADDENDUM

WHEREAS, Resolution #112 -1969 adopted the 7th day of July, 1969 by the City
Council, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements, as specifically
noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A ", and
WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed
with the making of these improvements (as noted in said Notice) were given ten (10)
days notice by mail and published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2)
weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the pro-
perty owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
WHEREAS, a temporary dike was built on Riverview Terrace and 79th Way to pro-
tect the homes in the Riverview Heights area from the 1969 flood with Federal
and City money,
WHEREAS, it is advisable to improve on this dike and make it a semi - permanent
flood protection,
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution #114 -1969 ordered the advertisement
for bids so that the exact improvement cost figures could be given to the affected
property owners,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution #112 -1969 are
hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon asreasonably possible,
to -wit:
Street improvements including grading, stabilized base, not -mix bituminous
mat, concrete curb and gutter, water, sanitary sewer lines and services,
incidental drainage and other facilities located as follows:
79th Way: Riverview Terrace to Apex Lane
Buffalo Street: Riverview Terrace to Broad Avenue
Cheryl Street: Riverview Terrace to Broad Avenue
Dover Street:. Riverview Terrace to Broad Avenue
Ely Street: Riverview Terrace to Broad Avenue
Fairmont Street: Riverview Terrace to 300 Feet East
Riverview Terrace: 79th Way to 120 Feet North of Kimball Street
Broad Avenue: Buffalo Street to Fairmont Street
2. That the Plans and Specifications prepared by Nasim M. Qureshi, City Engineer,
ordered by Resolution #113 -1969, are hereby received and approved.
3. That the City Engineer, Nasim M. Qureshi, and the City's Consulting Engineers
are hereby designated as the Engineers for this improvement. They shall
prepare final plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 4TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1969.
