OPPOSING THE USE OF RICE CREEK WATERSHED
AREA, OR ANY LAKES CONNECTED THERETO, AS
A RECIPIENT OF SEWAGE EFFLUENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota has
been informed that certain communities within the Rice Creek area
intend to use or permit to be used the Rice Creek Watershed area as
a recipient of sewage effluent; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, that use of the Rice Creek Watershed area as a
recipient of sewage effluent from any source is not in the best
interest of the residents of the City of Fridley or the residents of
all communities that are in the Rice Creek Watershed area;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City
of Fridley opposes the use of the Rice Creek Watershed area, or any
lakes connected thereto, as a recipient of sewage effluent from any
source whatsoever.
