A RESOLUTION RECEIVING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE PRELIMINARY REPORT ON WATER
UTILITIES, DATED AUGUST, 1969, AND ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95
WHEREAS, there are continuing requirements for the development of water
utility systems within the City of Fridley,
WHEREAS, there is a need to furnish an adequate water supply to those
now hooked onto the system and to have water available for new users that
will necessarily need to hook onto the system,
WHEREAS, a report was made on water utilities on October 1959 by the
Consulting Engineers, Comstock and Davis Incorporated,
WHEREAS, numerous supplements have been received by the Council to this
report to update the report from time to time,
WHEREAS, the previous water supply reports are updated by supple-
mentary report, dated August 1969, prepared by Comstock and Davis and sub-
mitted to the Council at their meeting of August 18, 1969,
WHEREAS, an addendum to the August, 1969 supplementary report has been
presented to the Council at their meeting of September 2, 1969,
WHEREAS, the contents and the further development of the water utility
system in the report have been fully discussed between the Consulting
Engineers and the City Council at their regular meeting of September 2, 1969,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley, as follows:
1. That the supplement to the water utility report, dated August 1969,
and the addendum to this report, dated September 2, 1969 is hereby
received and approved.
2. The improvements and repairs suggested in the report are hereby
ordered to be effected and completed as soon as possible.
3. The work to be provided under this project may be performed under
one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of
bids.
4. Comstock and Davis Incorporated, Consulting Engineers, are hereby
designated as the Engineers for this project. They shall prepare
final plans and specifications for making such improvements and
repairs.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 2ND DAY OF SEPTEMBER,
1969.
