A RESOLUTION REGARDING ]HE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM
THE 1965 TORNADO DISASTER FUND
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley was severely damaged by a
tornado in May of 1965; and
WHEREAS, as a result of this tornado many voluntary
contributions were made to the City of Fridley to be used to assist
its recovery; and
WHEREAS, there are monies remaining in said account at the
Fridley State Bank; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hazelhurst, Mississippi was recently
devastated by a similar tornado; and
WHEREAS, the Fridley Jaycees have collected material to
assist the community of Hazelhurst, Mississippi.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the Fridley City
Council expresses a desire and approval to release and transfer
$500.00 from the 1965 tornado disaster fund to the Hazelhurst,
Mississippi tornado disaster fund. Such transfer, if approved by
the Fridley State Bank, to be made through the Fridley Jaycees
Chapter.
