RESOLUTION NO. 53 -1969
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC
REARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS
WATER AND SANITARY SEWER PROJECT NO. 93
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in
the
interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected there-
by.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as fol-
lows:
1.
That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock & Davis,
Consulting Engineers is hereby received and accepted.
2.
That this Council will meet on the 12th day of Kay ,
1969 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley
for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement noted
in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference,
Exhibit "A ".
3.
That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each
of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted
In said notice: All of the same to be assessed proportionately
according to the benefits received. -

That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of
such Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official
newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be
substantially in the form and substance of the notice attached here -

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WATER &_SANITARY SEWER - PROJECT NO. 93
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements
hereinafter described be made.
NOW THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 12th day of
May, 19di9 at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the
City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place, hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the
lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
Water mains, sanitary sewer, laterals and service connections and other
facilities to serve the streets in the area bounded by;
79th Avenue extended on the North, Osborne Road on the South, University
Avenue on the mast and the Railroad tracks on the West side basically
including the streets, Osborne Road, 78th Avenue, 79th Avenue, G St.,
Hickory St., Main St., streets between Main & University Ave., and. the. West
Service Drive of University on the proposed plat of East Ranch Estates.
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $.180,000.00
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT
IS AS FOLLOWS:
For Construction Item above- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands within,
adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits
received by such improvements. ,
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as
separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by Council
all under the following authority, to-wit; Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398
and law amendatory thereof, and in confon:L`y with the Charter.
