RESOLUTION NO. 65 -1969
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ESTIMATES OF COSTS THEREOF FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS
FOR UNIVERSITY AVENUE EAST SERVICE ROAD FROM 69TH AVENUE TO 73RD AVENUE
INCLUDING THE 69TH AVENUE CROSSOVER ON UNIVERSITY AVENUE: ST. 1968 -1B
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution #193 -1967 adopted the 20th day of
November, 1967 authorized the public hearing and
WHEREAS, Resolution #58 -1969 adopted the 7th day of April, 1969 authorized
a supplemental hearing for University Avenue East Service Road from 69th Avenue
to 73rd Avenue including the 69th Avenue Crossover on Univ. Ave. improvements as speci-
fically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A ",
and
WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed
with the making of these improvements (as noted in said Notice) were giver, ten (10)
days notice by mail and published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly
publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners
beard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution No. 58 -1969
are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably
possible, to -wit:
Street Improvements, including grading, stabilized base, bituminous
surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer system and other
facilities located as follows:
University Avenue East Service Road from 69th Avenue to 73rd Avenue
including the 69th Avenue Crossover on University Avenue
2. That work to be performed under this project may be performed under one
or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of bids.
3. That the City Engineer, Nasim M. Qureshi, and Suburban Engineering Co.,
Incorporated are hereby designated as the Engineers for this improve-
ment. They shall prepare final plans and specifications for the malting
of such improvement.
