RES 1969-69 - 00010041RESOLUTION NO. 69 -1969 A RESOLUTION ON RENEWAL AND ISSUANCE OF NEW BICYCLE LICENSE PLATES ON RENEWAL YEARS. BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: WHEREAS, under Section 74.08 of the City of Fridley Municipal Code, all Bicycle Licenses shall expire on the 1st day of July, 1957 and every four (4) years thereafter. The fee for the last half of any license period for bicycles purchased during the last half of said period and not previously licensed by the City of Fridley shall by $0.50, and WHEREAS, during the anniversary of the licensing year, a person regis- tering a bicycle must pay for the last half of the year and then must re- register again on July 1st of the re- licensing or new issuing year, and WHEREAS, this necessitates two registrations during this particular year and results in over administration, as well as inconvenience to the person registering bicycles. NOW THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Fridley City Council that the Council does hereby authorize new licenses and license renewals to be issued during the period April 1 to June 30th of the renewal year without payment of the current licensing period fee of $0.50 and shall be issued new license tags for the forthcoming four (4) year period.
