RESOLUTION NO. 80 -1969
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: -
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1969 -3 ADDENDUM #1
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in
the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected there-
by.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by Nasim M. Qureshi, City Engineer,
City of Fridley is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 9th day of June, 1969 at 8;00
o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose
of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement noted in the Notice
attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each
of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted
in said notice: All of the same to be assessed proportionately
according to the benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of
such Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official
newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be
substantially.in the form and substance of the notice attached here-
to as Exhibit "A ".

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
ST. 1969 -3 ADDENDUM #1
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements
hereinafter described by made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 9th day of June,
1969, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in
said City, and will at said time, and place, hear all parties interested in
said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the
lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM:
Street improvements including grading, stabilized base, hot -mix
bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, water, sanitary sewer lines
and services, incidental drainage and other facilities located as follows:
Stinson Boulevard: 1,000 feet south of Gardena Avenue to Rice Creek Rd.
5th Street: From 54th to Interstate 694 outerdrive.
Streets in Adams Street Addition:
Washington Street: 57th Avenue to 58th Avenue
Jefferson Street: 57th Avenue to 58th Avenue
Street on South side of plat: 7th Street to Jefferson Street
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . . . $115,802.00
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS:
For Construction Item above - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands within,
adjacent and abutting.thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits
received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as
separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by Council
all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398
and law amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the Charter.
