RESOLUTION NO. 91 -1969
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS
AND ADDING PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF STREETS ONTO THE ,
EXISTING STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1969 -1 $
ST. 1969 -2 (CHANGE ORDER #1)
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 36 -1969, adopted the 3rd day of March,
1969 by the City Council, set the date for hearing on the proposed
improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached
hereto for reference as Exhibit "A ", and
WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in
said Notice) were given ten (10) days notice by mail qnd published
notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of
the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners
heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has an_ existing contract for
Street Improvement Project St. 1969 -1 & St. 1969 -2, with Arcon
Construction Company, Incorporated, which provides that the City can
attach additional work up to 250 of the original contract price,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council ,
Resolution No. 36 -1969 are hereby ordered to be effected
and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
The improvements as- noted under the Construction Item
in the Notice of Hearing (in Eichibit "A ") for the
following streets:
Street Improvements, including grading, stabilized
base, hot -mix bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter,
water, and sanitary sewer services, drainage and other
facilities, located as follows:
Longfellow Street: East River Road to 800 feet West
Spring Brook Place: 79th to Longfellow Street
79th Avenue: Broad Ave. to East River Road
T.H. #47 West Service Drive: Osborne Road to 350 ft.
North (North boundary line of proposed East Ranch
Estates - Plat #1)
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer,
Nasi.m M. Qureshi and the City's consulting engineers for
such improvements and each of them, pursuant to the Council
resolution, #62 -1969, heretofore adopted, a copy,of which ,
plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a
part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with
the City Clerk.
3. That the work involved in said improvements as listed above
shall be added on to contract of:
