RESOLUTION NO. 175 -1970
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON FOR IMPROVEMENT
OF STINSON BOULEVARD FROM GARDENA AVENUE TO RICE CREEK ROAD UNDER
JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Resolution #88 -1969 adopted on the 16th day of June, 1969
by the City Council of the City of Fridley ordered the improvement of
Stinson Boulevard from Gardena Avenue to Rice Creek Road.
WHEREAS, Stinson Boulevard is a common boundary street between the
City of Fridley and the Village of New Brighton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fridley as follows:
1. The City of Fridley hereby requests the Village of New Brighton
for the street improvement of Stinson Boulevard from Gardena
Avenue to Rice Creek Road be done under a Joint Venture between the
City of Fridley and the Village of New Brighton.
2. The necessary agreements be prepared for the cost participation
between the two bodies for the improvement of this portion of
Stinson Boulevard so that these can be executed as soon as
possible.

OF SEPTEMBER, 1970.
