RESOLUTION NQ. 186 -1970
A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts for
the following work:
MEADOWLANDS PARK STORM SEWER
2. A copy of the Plans and Specifications for the above described
work prepared by the City Engineer, Nasim M. Qureshi, City Hall,
Fridley, Minnesota 55432, together with a proposal for the method
of the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the
City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the
Plans and Specifications, and the method of payment to be required
by the City with respect to the construction of said improvement.
3 The City Engineer shall accordingly prepare.and_ cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making
of such improvements under such approved Plans and Specifications.
The advertisement shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least
10 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that
bids will be opened and considered at 11:30 A.M. on the 5th day of
October, 1970 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City
Engineer and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified
check payable to the City for five per cent (5 %) of the amount of
such a bid. That the advertisement for bids for Meadowlands Park
Storm Sewer shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Engineer, 6431 University
Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota 55432 (Tel. 560 -3450) on the 5th day
of October, 1970 at 11:30 A.M. and will be considered by the City Council
of the City of Fridley at a regular Council Meeting at 8:00 P.M. on the
5th day of October 1970 for the furnishing of work and materials for
MEADOWLANDS PARK STORM SEWER.
The project consists of the following principle items of work and
approximate quantities:
565 Lin. Ft. 30" R.C.P..Storm Sewer with related appurtenances
180 Lin. Ft. 4" C.I.P. Waterline and related appurtenances
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the City
Engineer, Nasim M. Qureshi, City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley,
Minnesota 55432. Telephone: 560 -3450.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by
applying to the City Engineer and depositing with the City Engineer $10.00
for each set for the project. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder
submitting a bonafide bid upon return of the documents in good condition
within ten (10) days from the bid opening date. '
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accompanied
by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of
Minnesota) or a bidder's bond made payable without condition to the City of
Frildey, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 5 per cent (5%) of the
total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
