RES 1970-216 - 00009926294 RESOLUTION NO. 216 -1970 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING MINNESOTA HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT FOR APPROVAL OF DETACH- MENT OF T.H. 447 SERVICE ROADS AT 61ST AVENUE AND 57TH AVENUE AS AN ADVANCED T.O.P.I.C.S. PROJECT WHEREAS, the intersection of 57th Avenue. N.E. and 61st Avenue N.E. with T.H. #47 presents serious capacity and safety problems because of the location of existing frontage roads and a lack of adequate roadway width, and WHEREAS, the improvement of these intersection is considered a high priority project both to the City of Fridley and as part of the Anoka County. T.O.P.I.C.S. program, and WHEREAS, it appears that this is the type of improvement for which the T.O.P.I.C.S. program is intended, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City. Council-of-the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota hereby: 1. Approves a project for the detachment of frontage roads and for increasing the capacity of 57th Avenue and 61st Avenue at T.H. #47. 2. Requests that the Minnesota Highway Department approve this project as an advanced T.O.P.I.C.S. project under the accelerated. program.
