RESOLUTION NO. 35 -1970
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT ENTITLED
"AGREEMENT FOR JOINT CONSTRUCTION OF BOUNDARY STREET: STINSON
BOULEVARD FROM GARDENA AVENUE TO 1000 FEET SOUTH"
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley received Petition #10 -1969, a copy of
which was supplied to the Village of New Brighton, along with a letter
dated April 18, 1969.
WHEREAS, Stinson Boulevard is a common boundary street between the
City of Fridley and the Village of New Brighton.
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has proposed that this improvement be
made as soon as possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fridley as follows:
1. That the City of Fridley hereby requests to the Village of New
Brighton that the street improvement of Stinson Boulevard, from
Gardena Avenue to 1000 feet South, be done under a joint venture
between the City of Fridley and the Village of New Brighton.
2. The Mayor and the City Manager of the City of Fridley are hereby
authorized and directed to execute and transmit to the Village
of New Brighton such agreement, a copy of which is attached
herewith, for the Village of New Brighton executing such
agreement.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 16TH DAY OF
FEBRUARY, 1970.
