RESOLUTION NO. 40 -1971
A RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND EXECUTING A
JOINT AGREEMENT WITH THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
STINSON BOULEVARD FROM GARDENA AVENUE TO 61ST AVENUE (NORTH LINE OF
SECTION 24)
WHEREAS, Resolution #88 -1969 adopted on the 16th day of June, 1969
by the City Council of the City of Fridley ordered the improvement of
Stinson Boulevard from Gardena Avenue to Rice Creek Road;
WHEREAS, this is a boundary street common with the Village of New
Brighton, therefor such street should be constructed under a joint agree-
ment, and
WHEREAS, such an agreement has been proposed which is acceptable to the
two municipalities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley that the final plans and specifications for the improvement of
Stinson Boulevard from Gardena Avenue to 61st Avenue (North line of Section
24) by Milner W. Carley and Associates are hereby approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Manager of
the City of Fridley be authorized and directed to execute and transmit to
the Village of New Brighton such agreement, a copy of which is attached
hereto.
