RESOLUTION NO. 50 -1971
A RESOLUTION .OPPOSING SENATE FILE 1237 AND HOUSE FILE 1678 WHICH
WOULD REQUIRE THAT THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ESTABLISH A METRO-
POLITAN PARK RESERVE BOARD
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Fridley has reviewed
a bill pending before the 1971 Legislature designated as Senate
File 1237 and the companion bill in the House designated as House
File 1678; and
WHEREAS, The City Council is of the opinion that Senate File
1237 and House File 1678, if enacted by the Legislature, would not
be in the best interest of the citizens of Fridley and the other
residents of the Metropolitan area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the
City of Fridley that the City Council hereby goes on record as
opposing Senate File 1237 and House File 1678.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS
27TH DAY OF APRIL, 1971.
