RES 1971-70 - 00009154I -96 RESOLUTION NO. 70 -1971 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: REPAIR, REJUVENATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF LOCKE LAKE DAM: PROJECT #104 w WHEREAS, pursuant to a Resolution No. 37 -1971 of the City Council, adopted on the 5th day of April, 1971, Comstock and Davis, Incorporated, Consulting Engineers, has prepared plans and specifications for all the improve- ments proposed by Resolution No. 37 -1971 and has presented such plans and speci- fications to the Council for approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City. of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the improvements proposed by Council Resolution No. 37 -1971 ..shall hereafter by designated as Repair, Rejuvenation and Improvement of Locke Lake Dam, Project #104. 2. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 3. The work to be performed under Repair, Rejuvenation, and Improvement of Locke Lake Dam, Project #104 shall be performed under one contract. The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 11:30 A.M. on the 16th day of August, 1971 in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Engineer and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per cent (5 %) of the amount of such a bid. That the advertise- ment for bids for REPAIR, REJUVENATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF LOCKE LAKE DAM, PROJECT #104, shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof. BRUNSELL 1` 1 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota at the office of the City Engineer, on the 16th day of August, 1971, at 11:30 A.M. and will be considered by the City Council of the ' City of Fridley at a regular Council Meeting at 8:00 P.M. on the 16th day of August, 1971, for the furnishing of work and materials for the installation of Locke Lake Dam Improvement Project No. 104. The project consists of the following: 600 C.F. Concrete Removal 23 C.Y. Concrete Retaining Wall (3 -12 to 7' High) 40 S.Y. 6" Thick Concrete Slab 85 L.F. Concrete Crack Repair - 20 S.F. Concrete Surface - Spalling Repair All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 1446 County Road J, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55432, Telephone: 784 -9346.
