RES 1971-83 - 00009171t 143 RESOLUTION NO. 83 -1971 A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS BY IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts for the following work: AN ADDITION TO THE FRIDLEY MUNICIPAL GARAGE 2. A copy of the Plans and Specifications for the above described -work prepared by Patch and Erickson, Incorporated, Architects, 2801 Wayzata Boulevard, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55405, to- gether with a proposal for the method of the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the Plans and Specifications, and the method of payment to be required by the City with respect to the construction of said structure. 3. The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be in- serted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved Plans and Specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened at 11:30 A.M. CST on the 16th day of August, 1971 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Engineer and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per cent (5 %) of the amount of such a bid. That the advertisement for bids for an addition to the Fridley Municipal Garage shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhibit "A" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof. KIRKHAM 144 EXHIBIT "A" ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the construction of an addition to the Fridley Municipal Garage, Fridley, Minnesota, will be received by the City Council of Fridley, Minnesota, Owner, at the Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley, Minnesota until 11:30 A.M. CST, August 16th, 1971, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Separate bids will be received for the following contracts: 1. General Construction Work 2. Mechanical Work 3. Electrical Work Bids shall be submitted in exact accordance with Bidding Documents (Including Instructions to Bidders and Proposal Forms) and Contract Documents (Including Drawings and Specifications) as prepared by or for Patch, Erickson, Madsen & Hanson, Inc., Architects, 2801 Wayzata Boulevard, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55404. Bidding Documents and proposed Contract Documents may be inspected at the office of the Owner, the offices of the Architects, F.W. Dodge Plan Room in Minneapolis, Minnesota through Dodge -Scan Microfilm Service of Minneapolis, Minn., and at Builders' Exchanges in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. One set of Bidding Documents and Contract Documents may be obtained from the Architects by each grime contract bidder upon deposit of $15.00. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond or a Certified or Cashier's Check made payable to the Owner for an amount equal to 5% of the bid as Bid Security. No bid may be withdrawn within 30 days after opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in bidding.
