RES 1972-137 - 00008556i RESOLUTION NO. 137 -1972 CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION TERMINATING PHASE II OF CIRCLE FLOW PORTION OF TRAFFIC FLOW PATTERN PROPOSAL IN HYDE PARK ADDITION WHEREAS, part of the areas of Hyde Park and City View_ Addition were rezoned to Commercial and one of the stipulations for rezoning was that there be access provided off T.H. No. 47 for proper circu- lation of the traffic through the Commercial area, WHEREAS, Resolution No. 194 -1969 of the City Council of Fridley adopted on November 3, 1969 approved the improvement for the access off T.H. No. 47 and the Circle Flow Plan in the Hyde Park area, and this traffic pattern in Hyde Park area was divided into two phases. Phase I was providing a slip off from T.H. No. 47 at the vicinity of 60th Avenue to this area and Phase II was providing a Circle Flow for the traffic going North on 3rd Street to move it along the West side of T.H. No. 47 going South. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 53 -1971 adopted on May 3, 1971 Council did call for bids for Phase I and this phase has been com- pleted and assessed, WHEREAS, the City Council received two petitions 1112 -1972 received July 10, 1972 and 1121 -1972 received November 13, 1972 opposing the completion of Phase II Circle Flow Plan at the present time, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Fridley that: 1) The second phase improvement of the traffic flow plan in the Hyde Park area ordered by Resolution 11194 -1969 is hereby rescinded. 2) That part of Third Street as shown in attached Exhibit "A" will be made one way.
