RES 1972-138 - 00008557Lb Co RESOLUTION NO. 138 1972 A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE COMMISSIONER OF TAXATION EXERCISING r UNDUE DISCIETION IN DETERMINING THE TYPES AND LEVELS OF SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY LOCAL UNITS OF GOVERNMENT WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Taxation is in the process of issuing rules and regulations regarding local government levy limitations, and WHEREAS, Rules and Regulations Relating to Local Government Levy Limitations, Tax L.L. 14 and 15 appear to give the Commissioner of Taxation undue discretion to determine the toes and levels of services to be provided by municipalities, contrary to the letter and intent of Extra Sessions Laws 1971, Chapter 31; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Fridley is opposed to the adoption of any regulations which mould permit the Commissioner of Taxation to exercise undue discretion in determining the types and levels of services to be provided in the administration of the local levy limitations.
