RES 1972-62 - 00008382106 ti RESOLUTION NO. 62 - 1972 A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts for the following items or materials: AUTOMOTIVE TRUCKS 2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a proposal for the period of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3• The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of Fridley on the 30th day of May 1972, at 11 :00 a.m. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as shown by Exhibit ''A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said notice shall be published at least twice in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley. Brunsell iry F 107 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS SPECIFICATIONS FOR TRUCKS BIDS CLOSE: May 30, 1972 at 11:00 a.m. City of Fridley, Minnesota Invitation for Bids: Sealed bids will be received by Mr. Gerald Davis, City Manager, City of Fridley, Minnesota 55432, until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 1972. Bid Awards: Award will be made by and contract with the City of Fridley, who will, in turn individually release against this contract. Right is reserved to award this contract in part or in whole to a single suppliers, or to reject any or all bids, if in the best interests of the City of Fridley. Bidders are therefore requested to bid on all vehicles regularly purveyed by their firms or enter "not available" on the proposal as the case may be. Warranty: The successful bidder (s) shall furnish manufacturer's standard new truck warranty and shall promptly replace or repair defective material, parts, workmanship, and /or inadequate design, at no cost to the purchasers, in accordance with such warranty. Delivery Points: Bidders shall quote delivered price. The vehicles called for hereunder shall be delivered to the City of Fridley, Fridley, Minnesota. Delivery Dates: All trucks shall be delivered within approximately ninety (90) days, callendar days, after receipt of written purchase order or release. Instructions to Bidders: All bids must be written in ink or typewritten. All bid envelopes must bear the inscription BID FOR TRUCKS as well as the name and address of the bidder. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond,payable to the City of Fridley in the amount of 5% of the total purchase price, to Gerald Davis, City Manager, City of Fridley, 6431 University Ave. N.E., Fridley, Minnesota 55432 Specifications: Specifications can be picked up at the Purchasing Department, City of Fridley, 6431 University Ave. N.D., Fridley, Minnesota 55432. Award: Award of contract by the City of Fridley will be based upon, but not necessarily limited to, the factors of: a) price; b) delivery date; c) parts and service; d) analysis and comparison of specification details; and e) past experience with similar or related equipment or with the respective bidder.
