RESOLUTION NO. 69 -1972 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING MINNESOTA HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TO INSTALL "30 MPH SPEED LIMIT" SIGNS AND DIRECTIONAL ADVISORY SIGNS AND CENTER LINE STRIPING ON UNIVERSITY AVENUE EAST SERVICE DRIVE BETWEEN 57TH AVENUE AND MISSISSIPPI STREET WHEREAS, there have been complaints filed by the City residents in regard to the traffic problem on University Avenue East Service Drive between 57th Avenue and Mississippi Street. WHEREAS, This traffic problem is caused by motorists speeding on University Avenue East Service Drive. WHEREAS, the City Manager and Police Department have recommended to the City Council that there is a need for speed limit signs, directional advisory signs and center line striping in this area for proper traffic flow safety. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley that the Minnesota Highway Department is hereby requested to install "30 MPH Speed Limit" signs, directional advisory signs on both sides between 57th Avenue and Mississippi Street and paint center line striping on this service drive as shown on the attached map marked Exhibit "A ".
