RES 1972-83 - 00008429s3 -1 RESOLUTION NO. 83 -1972 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN SURPLUS PROPERTY WHEREAS, The City of Fridley has a wood frame building that is no longer suitable and usable for public purposes and is a surplus to the needs of the City. WHEREAS, The following item should be disposed of at the best available price obtainable for its salvage value; Wood Frame Building namely (Fridley Office Supply Store and residence) located at 6289 Trunk Highway No. 65, Fridley, Minnesota. The Sale of said item as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of Fridley on the 3rd day of August, 1972. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise the sale of said building by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that Shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said notice shall be published at least twice in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley. Brunsell 154 .i Resolution No. 83 -1972 Exhibit "A" (Official Publication) CITY OF FRIDLEY ' BUILDING SALE NOTICE The City Council of the City of Fridley has authorized the sale of the building located at 6289 Trunk Highway No.65. This is a combination residence and store of wooden -frame structure. The City of Fridley will accept sealed bids for the sale of this building. In- spection of the building may be made on weekdays, Mondays through Fridays, beginning July 19 through August 2, 1972, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The appraised value of the entire structure (market value) is $20,000.00. The total area is 1,896 square feet. The building must be removed from its present location within thirty days after acceptance of the bid, and if not removed from the property within thirty (30) days, a penalty of $25.00 per day will be assessed against the purchaser until 1'e RlOva, removal has been completed. Sealed proposals will be received until 11:00 a.m. on the third-day of August, 1972, at the Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley, Minnesota 55432 (Telephone 560- 3450). The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be in the >us`� best intereste of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid received without explanation. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Mr. Gerald R. Davis, City Manager at the Fridley City Hall, address .shown above.
