RESOLUTION NO. 100 -1973
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE ANOKA COUNTY HEALTH BOARD EXAMINE
THE NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH SERVICES CENTER AND SUBMIT ITS FINDINGS
' AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE FRIDLEY CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Fridley heard a presentation
by the North Suburban Youth Services Center located in Coon Rapids,
Minnesota, and
WHEREAS, The North Suburban Yourth Services Center representatives
described the services rendered to the citizens of Fridley, and
WHEREAS, The North Suburban Youth Services Center is receiving
financial support from Federal Funds and the City of Coon Rapids and is
requesting additional financial support from the City of Fridley for
the last third of 1974, and
WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Fridley has received a City
staff report on the North Suburban Youth Services Center which indicates
that the Center is a needed and worthy youth center which benefits the
citizens of Fridley, and
WHEREAS, The City staff report on the North Suburban Youth Services
Center which indicates that certain Anoka-County employees and other
citizens have expressed concern over the organizational,structure and
methods of counselor assignment to individual're£errals, and
' WHEREAS, The Council of -the City of Fridley desires a clarifica-
tion, report or recommendations regarding these concerns prior to finding,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley
that the Anoka County Health Board examine the North Suburban Youth
Services Center, particularly in the areas of expressed concern and
that the Anoka County Health Board submit its findings and recommenda-
tions to the Council of the City of Fridley,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Thatthe City Clerk is instructed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the Anoka County Health Board.
