A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATES OF THE
COSTS THEREOF: FOR THE URBANIZATION OF T. H. #65 FROM SOUTH MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY
LIMITS TO I #694 AND IMPROVEMENT OF INTERSECTIONS OF 52ND AND 53RD AVENUES, AND
ROADWAYS: STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1974 -3
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley as follows:
1. That it appears in the interests of the City and of the property owners
affected that there be constructed certain improvements, to -wit:
Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base, hot -mix bituminous
mat, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and other facilities, located as
follows:
1. Urbanization of T. H. #65 from South Municipal Boundaries to I. #694.
2. 53rd Avenue Improvement Including Intersection from 800 Feet West of
Intersection to 300 Feet East of Intersection of 53rd Avenue & T. H. #65
3. Improvement of 52nd Avenue Including Intersection From 52nd Avenue &
T. H. #65 Intersection to 400 Feet East.
2. That the City Engineer, Columbia Heights, and the Minnesota Highway Department
Engineers are hereby authorized and directed to draw the preliminary plans and
specifications and to tabulate the results of the estimates of the costs of
said improvements, including every item of cost from inception to completion
and all fees and expenses incurred (or to be incurred) in connection therewith,
or the financing thereof, and to make a preliminary report of his findings,
stating therein whether said improvements are feasible and whether they can
best be made as proposed, or in connection with some other improvements (and
the estimated cost as recommended), including also a description of the lands
or area as may receive benefits therefrom and as may be proposed to be assessed.
3. That said preliminary report of the Engineer shall be furnished to the City
Council.
