RESOLUTION NO. 53 -1973
REQUESTING PASSAGE OF HOUSE FILE 1468 AND SENATE FILE 1709
WHICH AMENDS THE 1969 POLICE AND FIREMEN'S RELIEF ASSOCIATION
GUIDELINES ACT
WHEREAS, the Fridley City Council has received and carefully con -
sidered House File 1468 and Senate File 1709 which amends the 1969
Police and Firemen's Relief Association Guidelines Act; and
WHEREAS, House File 1468 and Senate File 1709 will amend the 1969
Guidelines Act on a Statewide basis; and
WHEREAS, Fridley City Council recognizes its obligation to fund
its local Police and Firemen's Pension plans on an actuarially sound
basis; and
WHEREAS, the Fridley City Council recognizes its responsibility
to the citizens of the community; and
WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Municipalities has submitted
House File 1468 and Senate File 1709 to the Governmental Operations
Committee to adopt House File 1468 and Senate File 1709 which amends
Police and Firemen's pension legislation of the 1969 Guidelines Act.
