RESOLUTION NO. 65 -1973
A RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO HOUSE FILE 1830, ABOLITION OF VOTER
REGISTRATION
WHEREAS, WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fridley has carefully considered
House File 1830 relating to the abolition of voter registration, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fridley is of the opinion that
this system would be unworkable, and
WHEREAS, the checks against illegal voting would not be made until
after the election were over with.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Fridley
hereby goes on record as being opposed to House File 1830, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Fridley asks
that the General Legislation and Veterans Affairs Committee deny passage
of House File 1830.
