A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT
FOR BIDS: WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #116
WHEREAS, Resolution #86 -1974 adopted by the City Council on the 19th day
of August set the date for hearing on the improvement, as specifically noted
in the Notice of Hearing attached thereto for reference as Exhibit "A "; and
WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with
the making of the improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10)
days notice by mail and published notice of the Council hearing through two
(2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the
property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice; and
WHEREAS, Resolution #97 -1974 adopted by the City Council of the City of
Fridley ordered all of these improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by the Council Resolution
#86 -1974 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon
as reasonably possible, to -wit:
Water, Sanitary Sewer, Mains and Laterals and Service Connections,
Storm Sewer and Drainage Facilities and Related Appurtenances; to
serve the following properties:
The remainder of the Great Northern Industrial Park Plat located in the '
southeast quadrant of Interstate No. 694 and East River Road, i.e.
Blocks 5 through 11.
That the work involved in said improvements as lasted above shall
hereafter be designated as:
WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #116
2, The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Director,
and the City's Consulting Engineers for such improvements and each
of them, pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore adopted,
a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and
made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City
Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #116 shall be performed under one contract.
The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the
official newspaper advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under
such plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3)
weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that
bids will be opened and considered at 11:30 A.M. on the 9th day of December, 1974,
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director, and accompanied by a cash '
deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per cent (5 %)
of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for WATER SANITARY
SEWER AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #116 shall be substantially in form as
noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof.

Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager, on the 9th day of December
1974, at 11:30 A.d, for the furnishing of work and materials for the installation
of Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer and Water Improvement Project No. 116.

All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of Fridley
Minnesota, by Comstock & Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 1446 County Road "J ",
Minneapolis, Minnesota 55432, Telephone 784 -9346.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City Manager, and
copies may be obtained for the contractor's individual use by applying to the
Engineers and depositing with the Engineers $25.00 for each set. The deposit will
be refunded to each bidder submitting a bonafide bid upon return of the documents
in good condition within ten (10) dayd from the date of opening of bids, and to
non- bidders upon return of the documents in good condition prior to the bid
opening.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and accompanied by a
cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota),
or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition to the City of Fridley in
an amount of not less then 10% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities in any bid received,
and to reject any or all bids received, without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30 ) days.
